Secure, High-quality Video Transmission over IP Networks
As IP becomes the transport network of choice, careful attention must be paid to maximise quality of service. When IP video is transported, operators can experience problems of packet loss, out of packet arrivals, and packet jitter. The Forward Error Correction (FEC) functionality of the Digital Content Manager (DCM) provides an open standards-based solution for error recovery in video streams when transported over public or private IP networks that suffer from random burst or occasional packet loss.
