Cisco Service Provider Video Technology Group
The Cisco Service Provider Video Technology Group is a leading supplier of transmission networks for broadband access to the home, digital set-tops, data and voice cable modems, and digital interactive subscriber systems for video, high-speed Internet and voice over IP (VoIP) networks, systems integration expertise, and worldwide customer service and support. The SPVTG, created following the acquisition of Scientific Atlanta by Cisco, continues to lead the video content delivery initiatives of the company, helping operators make the transition from video, voice, and data service providers to organizations that deliver entertainment, communications, and information experiences designed to change the way people work, live, play, and learn.

Cisco Customer Advocacy
Customer Advocacy (CA) is the organization behind the award winning Cisco Services business. We are the advocates for Cisco customers and it is our mission to accelerate customer success with Cisco through innovative services and world class people, processes, tools, and partners. CA for video service providers has its origins in the former Scientific Atlanta SciCare Services organization, which helped service providers launch networks and services, expand, upgrade and build networks, integrate Scientific Atlanta technology with third-party and legacy products, manage key projects, plan, design, test, certify, operate and maintain network systems and train staff members on the latest broadband technologies and techniques.

Job description
As a member of the Field Engineering team, you are involved in the installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of new and existing systems such as Digital Head-ends, IP distribution networks and other broadband systems that bring content to the user. You are a technical product and system specialist, but also a good hands-on person who knows how to solve issues on the spot. As you are continuously dealing with our customers your professionalism contributes to our excellent reputation.

 
Profile
  • You have a degree in Engineering specialized in telecom, computer science or electronics, or equivalent through years of experience.
  • Experience in either Digital/Analogue TV and/or IP technology is an advantage but not essential. Willingness to learn new skills is mandatory.
  • Your enthusiastic social skills allow you to easily integrate in the existing team; you like to take initiatives and are autonomous minded with a 'can do' attitude.
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills. You are multilingual, at least including English. Knowledge of another language is an advantage.
  • You are happy to travel within the region in the pursuit of your customer support duties. (70%)
