Digital Media Networks - a division in our Transmission
Network Systems BU - harbours a worldwide R&D organisation
working on the most advanced compressed digital video processing
technologies. We create high-end systems for interactive applications
that deliver digital video services from provider to subscriber,
like video from camera to TV set (glass to glass).
Our customers are the worlds' leading cable operators and
telecommunication companies. They provide us with exciting
technological challenges to improve the multimedia experiences
of their subscribers at home, including you: most probably
you're already making use of your future colleague's creations!
Job description
Communicate - We are one team exchanging ideas and

travel might be required.

Analyze - You talk to customers, Product Management
and our analysts, you understand their requirements, discuss
their needs and suggest the different paths to a cost-effective
solution.
Design - You work together with our system architects
to come up with future-proof designs that withstand fast changing
requirements in a dynamic market.
Develop - You create tomorrow's solutions, cooperating
with colleagues all over the world, on high performance platforms.
Verify - Your products comply with the highest quality
standards to maximize the satisfaction of our customers.
Do you want to be part of the digital future? You
have 3-5 years experience in professional application software
development. Within Scientific Atlanta EMEA you will be involved
in product development and product support for our network
management systems. You participate in the entire development
process, from analysis, design & tests to implementation.

| Profile |
- You have a Master Degree in Engineering (Industrieel/Burgerlijk
Ingenieur), specialized in software engineering, electronics
or telecommunications
- You are expert in C++, MFC and Windows multi-threaded
programming for technical applications. You have experience
with OO development in Visual C++.
- You can analyze, architect and design applications from
scratch.
- Database knowledge, (D)COM knowledge, GUI design and networking
protocols (SNMP, CORBA) are also part of your skill set.
- You will participate in and eventually lead projects on
our in-house ROSA network management system.
- You are creative and technology minded
- You are a team player with good communication skills.
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
